Couples Counselling is all about getting communication right in relationships so you can regain closeness, happiness and harmony. At Help For Mums we provide specialised online counselling for parents.

The reason our couples counselling is provided via Zoom rather than in person, is because our experience tells us, being at home helps couples to feel more relaxed, particular in the first few couples counselling sessions.

One of the anxieties couples may have about coming to counselling is that someone is going to be blamed, or judged for actions within the relationship. However, this is definitely NOT the case. Our aim is to help you both gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of each others needs; to find the best ways to rekindle lost intimacy and to rebuild trust and respect in the relationship.

We have helped countless couples to:
- Stop fighting
- Improve and increase intimacy
- Rebuild respect and trust - the cornerstones of a healthy relationship
- Work as a team
- Avoid marriage breakdown
- Parent together, rather than at odds

If separation is unavoidable, we work on supporting you to separate in the most amicable way possible, but first we explore if this is really what the couples wants or believes is best.

We aim for you to leave every session with an action plan you can implement that week, so you can see the benefits of counselling and begin to repair the relationship from your first session.

You begin with one session and then we see how we go from there. Some couples only need 1-3 sessions, whilst others might need a bit more.

Because we specialise in parenting, often other family issues will arise that may result in one individual in the couple seeking additional support alone. We have counsellors to support you if this is the case, or can refer you to other specialists when required.
